Just another random post..

I thank God for development!

Just take a moment. Stop and think. What would the world be like if everyone turned out to be geniuses? If everyone turned out to be music proteges? If everyone turned out to be really persuasive buisness people? If everyone turned out to be...umm...well, basically, what I'm saying is that all of us, with our different talents, we make the world go round.

You see, it took scientists to come up with sound being a transverse wave and everything...then the inventors or engineers or whatever you wanna call them to come up with ideas for the invention of various devices to enable further travelling of the waves so more people in a bigger radius from the source can hear the sound. Then, more devices serving to record and playback sound were birthed.

Having said that, I now go to the next part. Who first came up with music? Hmm...think think think. Did you get an answer? I know I didn't. This is something I've been pondering on for a while now...and each time, I come up with the same result. Nada. So the only logical conclusion is that music has been around for AGES. Yes, probably since a little after the creation of the world, even BEFORE the beginning of the concept of music could be recorded, and to think that music has now become such an essential part of our lives. Seriously, think about it. Life would be just so bleak without music. Life without music? *shudders at the thought*

So then now at least we have records of people who have developed music to what it is now. We have people like Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Saint-Saens, Tchaikovsky, Chopin, Clementi, Scarlatti, Bartok, Scriabin, Shostakovich, Faure, and I could go on and on....the list goes on. Then came Elvis Presley, Louis Armstrong and many other legends. We also have the people responsible for the development of instruments to what they are today. The example which now pops into my head is Theobald Boehm who is responsible for the flute being what it is today when he came up with the Boehm key-system for the flute.

So then, with these developments in the music world and technology, out together, we now have the ability to record AND playback the sounds of now refined instruments which is why I can now listen to a beautiful recording while I am typing this!

Wonderful, isn't it? Lol...
